College of Business Administration

COBA Scholarships

Each year, the College of Business Administration (COBA) awards approximately 200 scholarships  totaling nearly $200,000 to current undergraduate and graduate students pursuing business related degrees.  While many of these scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic standing, others are determined at least in part by financial need, community service, leadership, major, membership in student organizations, etc..  An annual awards banquet, held in the spring of each year, honors both scholarship recipients and many of the generous donors that have established these scholarships to provide assistance to COBA students.   Outstanding students in each major and many COBA student organizations are also recognized at this annual event.

COBA scholarships have been established by successful alumni, present and former faculty, professional organizations and businesses that recruit regularly on the Missouri State campus.   The generosity of these groups and individuals allows many COBA students to commit more time to their studies and student organizations, thus increasing their marketability upon graduation.  In many cases, receiving a scholarship or award leads to greater opportunities for securing internships or full-time positions following graduation.  If you are interested creating a scholarship or award, please contact COBA's Director of Development, Mr. Dick Laird at 417-836-5646 or rlaird@missouristate.edu.

A detailed listing of all College and Department scholarships and awards is provided in the College's The Big Book of Scholarships and Awards.   Key dates for COBA scholarships and awards are outlined below.
